For this piece, I was inspired by the sunsets I see every week in my backyard. From there, I thought about the duality of dusk to dawn, and how it’s like the idea of yin and yang. When the idea of yin and yang came to mind, it led me to the idea of koi fish. I also wanted to experiment with different layer settings, so I wanted to keep the piece as simple as I could.
