When writing this song, I reflected on my 2020. Even before the pandemic, I found myself being “lost in my thoughts.” I constantly had doubts and grew more worried about many things that were absolutely not in my control. Throughout this newfound time in quarantine, I communicated with my friends virtually on the daily, and it helped me get out of that rut by venting out my frustrations to them. At the end of the year, I believe that I am in a better place mentally and emotionally with all things considered. The people in my life helped me see that there were better days ahead, even if they didn’t mean to.
