This piece makes me happy because of the person depicted. This is Bad Bunny, a Latin rap/Reggaeton music artist, and this painting is of a photo he posted on Instagram of him sunbathing. In this piece, I referenced one of several angles from this mini photoshoot. He, as an artist as well as the sweet person he is, is an inspiration to me as well as many other Latinx people. He has spoken out against sexual harassment of women, trans and gay rights, as well as other issues that are important to me.
