The Era of Planners

With remote learning still happening all over the world, students have bought planners to keep them on track with unexpected schedules. Some of them have started drawing, coloring, and creating aesthetically pleasing layouts to keep themselves motivated. A lot of these creators have displayed their work with new trends like “StudyGram” (Instagram) and “StudyTok” (TikTok).

Decorated planners come in various styles of art, from putting stickers on a premade planner or styling a page in a bullet journal. Both ways bring out a person’s creative abilities to add onto a simple piece of paper. However, to be eco-friendly, some implement digital planners to save space physically and to encourage ways to help trees remain standing tall.

Many students have started decorating their plans to help benefit them in many ways. Planners help keep your life in line, but they also help relieve stress for some because of having the ability to sway one’s mind from the stress in their life, to feeling some relief.

The most popular way students are showcasing their art is through bullet journaling. Bullet journaling creates an intimate feeling towards one’s planner since the artist draws everything out and creates it to their liking. On the other hand, sticker sales companies have had sales booming because there is a large appeal to those who might not be as creative.

The year 2020 has brought all sorts of trends on social media, but planning and planners have become one of the most frequented for all audiences. Will 2021 carry on the legacy of “StudyGram” and “StudyTok”? Only planning ahead will we know.
