You’re So Sweet, Serotonin

When going about the theme this month, “Sunlight and Serotonin”, it struck something in me. I am often described by my peers as being bubbly, happy, and a ray of light. While I love all of those descriptors, my aura exudes more colors than solely yellow. I wrote my song, “Serotonin”, as if I’m speaking to the happiness chemical personified. It was a really deep writing experience for me, as I got to explore the other parts of me that I don’t always display. I used words that played to the 5 senses such as ‘cinnamon’ and ‘cigarette’, so that my audience could really feel the song. I hope you who is reading this is able to connect to it as much as I was 🙂
